Green tea would be among the best fat-burning foods. According to a study published in the Journal of Nutrition, green tea helps melt fat if you also walk. Subjects were given either a drink containing catechins, the powerful antioxidants in green tea, or a drink that did not contain catechins. All also received 180 minutes of exercise per week, mostly walking. After 12 weeks, subjects in the first group had lost 7.4% more abdominal fat than those in the second group.

“Catechins accelerate metabolism and the rate at which the body burns fat,” says Kevin C. Maki, author of the study. For similar results, you should drink four to six cups of non-decaffeinated green tea a day and exercise at least 180 minutes a week. A good partner for your diet, which should now find its way into your kitchen.

Oats and barley to remove abdominal fat


By using barley as a side dish instead of white rice, you may be able to promote the elimination of your abdominal fat. At least that’s the conclusion of a study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. Dieters were instructed either to avoid whole grains or to take their grain servings only as whole grains (whole wheat bread, oats, barley, whole grain rice) for 12 weeks. Although subjects in both groups lost the same amount of weight, those who consumed whole grains were able to melt abdominal fat. Make sure you get at least three servings of whole grains a day.
